A group of friends on a snow mobile excursion take a ‘wrong turn’ and are forced to find shelter or freeze to death. Fortuitously, they find an abandoned hospital to drink, smoke marijuana drugs, have premarital sex, and lastly, take refuge in. They build a fire, warm up, and, surprise, start dying. It seems that the former patients did not vacate the premises when the hospital closed, and they are pissed. WT4 stars Jennifer Pudavick of Wishmaster 3 and 4 and Tenika Davis of Canada’s Next Top Model ‘fame’. I had low expectations for the fourth entry in the Wrong Turn Franchise. It turns out, they were warranted. The acting is really quite bad (even by my lenient standards) the plot is borrowed from better films, like Cold Prey, and the film never really succeeds at building any kind of tension. The one good thing I can say is that the effects were above average. I would recommend steering clear of this attempt to resuscitate the WT series, unless you want to spend 90 minutes wishing for a group of inbred cannibals to put you out of your misery.
